Our Story
A long long story... but here's the short version... We met initially in primary school in NZ when we were kids. He is an American, I'm the Kiwi. We were friends for many years through until our teens when he returned to the US. In 2009 (many years later) we found each other via email. We stayed in constant daily contact until I went to visit him in 2010 and made 3 visits via VWP. On my last visit I was held up in SFO for several hours and told to apply for a B visa in the future.
I tried to return to the US in 2011 but was denied because I didn't have enough documents with me showing sufficient ties. He proposed on Valentine's Day 2011 since we couldn't imagine ever being apart again. We sent in our I-129F but left out some significant docs in error... he sent them with our NOA1 details but these were never connected with our initial petition. We were denied 5 months later as a result. The second lot of docs were never connected with our initial petition.
Tried to resolve this but no result.
Life gets in the way.
Mar 2012 sent new petition.... (another long story)
