It took me a long time to search for a "sample" affidavit letter in support of a bonafide marriage. I had seen a couple of posts that provided the basics for this letter and saved it. Those documents somehow disappeared though. Couldn't locate the info again. Can someone please provide a sample of what one can write in an affidavit supporting a bonafide marriage? Thanks in advance!

Look in example forms under lifting conditions, Letters of support from friends is a good example.

Thanks, YuAndDan, for the link. Some more searching, then I found, http://www.visajourney.com/forums/lofivers...php/t58545.html, which has this boilerplate text posted by Brightsunshine:

"I, [NAME], born [DATE OF BIRTH] in [PLACE OF BIRTH], currently residing at [sTREET ADDRESS], in [sTATE] MAKE OATH AND SAY THAT:

1. I am [RELATION TO PETITIONER/RELATIVE] of [PETITIONER / RELATIVE NAME] and have personal knowledge of the matters herein referred to.

2. I have known [PETITIONER / RELATIVE] since [DATE] under [CIRCUMSTANCE].

3. [OTHER STATEMENTS ABOUT KNOWLEDGE OF COUPLE AND BONA FIDES OF MARRIAGE]

4. A copy of [RELEVANT PICTURE / DOCUMENT*] is attached to my affidavit at Exhibit "A".

SWORN BEFORE ME at the City of [CITY], in the state of [sTATE], this [DATE] day of [MONTH], [YEAR], [sIGNATURE], [NAME] (affiant)

[sIGNATURE & NAME OF NOTARY PUBLIC] (notary public)"

I'll combine this with some wording from the link you provided. I appreciate your help!

Happy Fourth of July!

STILL, a question: I'll plan on asking a family member and a personal friend to write affidavits similar to the one posted above. Should I add a statement that they are US citizens (complete with Naturalization No.) for added weight on the document? Will this be necessary or redundant?
