Hi All,

I'm noticing on some people's timelines that the time between I130 Approved and NVC Received is only a few weeks. Is NVC Received when USCIS sends case to NVC or when NVC receives it? I was told by NVC it takes up to 4 weeks to receive case and another 8 weeks to create a profile for you and that's when they contact you.

Please advise. Thanks!

It means NVC has received approval petition from USCIS.  It is the time frame NVC rep gives everybody. It could take less or more

Who does the NVC contact when they have received the petition from USCIS? Do they contact the petitioner or do the contact the beneficiary or both? Also how do they contact you? By mail or email?

The nvc will send all correspondence to the petitioner and the applicant OR the petitioner and the attorney(if you used one) via email.

How would they send me an email? They don't have my email address unless USCIS gave it to them. Am I supposed to contact them to furnish them with my email address? If so how do I do this?

They get your details from your approved i130.
