Tell that to my family who immigrated here and scraped the bottom of the proverbial barrel for multiple generations.  Top of the food chain?  You should try stand-up comedy sometime.

I am nowhere near the “top of the food chain” (well, technically I am, because I am a human, but in YOUR argument...) but I am where I am because I busted my butt to get here.  I have never been satisfied to just get by in life. I have always wanted my family to be happy and healthy and to not live from paycheck to paycheck.   And yes, America is great in the fact that I am able to provide that for them thru pure perseverance.

Thanks.  I’m sure your sentiment is truly heartfelt.  Means a lot to me.

It’s sad that you live in the US and cannot see just how great it truly is.  There’s got to be some reason why people from other countries want to come here so badly.  5 times more than any other country, in fact.

it's a nice thought, not reality, but a nice thought.

How is that just a thought?  Or are all in America (except for those special MDLers) just racist or violating other's civil rights regardless of their ethnicity?

i'm not going to have this argument with you guys. sorry. you'd think that people that support the MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN campaign would have some sort of idea of the greatness we need to return to..but what do i know.

I think what?  I think there are a lot of Dems that do not like this country when their party is not in power.  Cuomo is not the only Dem to talk about how America is not great and then try to sell us some utopia like socialism, or social justice, or fairness, etc.  Life is not fair, life is not ideal (see thread about idealistic couple biking in Asia killed by ISIS), but when the country as a whole succeeds economically, this is good/great for everyone.

When we started seeing annual GDP growth and other factors stagnate.  Btw, Cuomo said America was never that great ever (my addition based on inference), I guess we should just end this experiment in government and join back with the Queen.

It started a pretty serious decline about 9 years ago, as I recall.  Economically as well as racially.

Cuomo said America was not great, but regardless, why would anyone want to rest on their laurels, keep pushing forward, you know, true progress, economic progress, not that progressive claptrap the Dems are trying to sell.
