Trump desperation?  Seems to be desperation on only one side politically and they are still stymied by how they haven't forced Trump out yet.  It is nice to see that Trump is president and the Senate will start debating Kavanaugh next month.

Mr Trump made the decision to remove Mr Brennan’s security clearance in a virtually unilateral move, bypassing the typical practice of having the FBI conduct security clearance reviews and making assessments on current and former officials who maintain access to classified intelligence.

Trump is scared of me because I know too much about Russia's election meddling, former CIA director John Brennan says

Trump has long complained about the Mueller probe, referring to it almost always as a “witch hunt” — even though it has resulted in numerous indictments of Russian nationals and former Trump campaign officials. The investigation, the president has insisted, amounts to little more than an attempt at an excuse from Democrats embarrassed by Hillary Clinton’s loss in the 2016 election.

The revocation of Brennan’s security clearance was first announced Wednesday by White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who did not mention the Russia probe among her justifications for the president’s decision.

President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he revoked the security clearance of former CIA Director John Brennan in part because of his role in the investigation into allegations of collusion between the Russian government and the 2016 Trump campaign.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Trump placed blame on Brennan for the ongoing Russia investigation, now overseen by special counsel Robert Mueller, even though Brennan has been outside the government for 19 months.

If he knows so much about Russian meddling then he already knows it and does not need a clearance. Laughable

"While I had deep insight into Russian activities during the 2016 election, I now am aware – thanks to the reporting of an open and free press – of many more of the highly suspicious dalliances of some American citizens with people affiliated with the Russian intelligence services," he added.

The former CIA director said that the “only questions that remain are whether the collusion that took place constituted criminally liable conspiracy" and "whether obstruction of justice occurred to cover up any collusion or conspiracy". Mr Brennan also suggested that it must be investigated whether "members of ‘Trump Incorporated’ attempted to defraud the government by laundering and concealing the movement of money into their pockets.”

If he knew anything of substance it would have been made public long ago.

Why isn't Brennan calling for an investigation of the previous administration spying on American citizens for political purposes?  Another potential investigation would be how much weight that was given to a political campaign piece of research to garner the FISA warrants?  It really seems Brennan is doing everything he can to deflect any views into his own actions during the 2016 campaign.

Also time to revoke Clapper's clearance.

He's worse than Brennan.

The heart of the matter is this.

These people's security clearances were issued by virtue of their government jobs.

They're now private citizens.

There's no Constitutional right for them to keep or have a security clearance now.

It's completely up to the President (any president) to decide.

These people can continue to flap their mouths.

Lack of a security clearance will not keep them off CNN, MSNBC, or wherever.

One private citizen whose clearance is being revoked is James Comey.

Comey, as the media drummed into our brains for months, is a Republican.

Therefore, because the President is doing it to a Republican, everything is OK.
