Didn't leave enough $$$...what fees can I pay online?

I realize that I did not leave my finacee enough quite enough money to pay the remaining fees and all the travel and hotels for her trip to Manila.

So my question is...which can I pay ….if any....from the US

I am guessing St Lukes is out...

So can I pay the visa fee?  And is that done through Bancnet? …. Something I am completely unfamiliar with.

Now if I pay it....it might be difficult for her to get the receipt....and last time I FedEx'd some documents to her....it was well over $100! :(

Or...should I simply....Western Union her some more money...and have her pay everything on her end?

Thanks!

You can check at ustraveldocs website for payment options but if my memory serves me right, the visa fee should be paid in the country where your beneficiary is. Payments are accepted through BPI banks, she needs to print a document (I forgot what they call this) that she will show to the bank as proof that she's doing a visa fee transaction. Might be best to send her the visa fee.

Lol here's the website to read. That document I was mentioning is called MRV slip, by the way.

If she or a close relative has a bank account with an ATM the best way in my opinion is to send it thru worldremit.  Low fees, fast and reliable transactions and you can send directly into her bank account.  My wife and I use it frequently.  That way she would not need to carry a lot of cash but still have easy access to the money she needs.  Transfers to BPI accounts take seconds.

Visa fee can be paid online, with limitations.      You can not pay through Bancnet from the USA.

WU for money transfers is one of the more costly.   I personally like REMITLY   no fee or low fee (your choice) and better exchange rates.

As for sending documents, ONLY the I-134 needs to be an original w/signature, all other documents can be send by email as attachments, OR upload them to the "cloud" using DropBox or something like that so you fiancee can download them to print them out.

It's my understanding that the I-134 is not a binding contract and does not require a w/signature. This is from USCIS.

"A signature is valid even if the original signature is later photocopied, scanned, faxed, or similarly reproduced. Regardless of how it is transmitted to USCIS, the copy must be of an original document containing a handwritten, ink signature, unless regulations or the form instructions state otherwise. USCIS will not accept signatures created by a typewriter, word processor, stamp, auto-pen, or similar device."

Correct, the I-134 is not a binding document like the I-864.

USCIS requirements has little to no bearing on the Department of State requirements (which is USEM).  Plus as we have learned, even if DOS has a requirement the embassy itself quite often has their own "set of rules"   (100% vs 125% of poverty guidelines always comes to mind)

Agreed. For small amounts, Remitly has been my go-to. For slightly larger amounts (~$400 to $2,000 or so), TransferWise has offered the best overall rate (even after the fee). Above that, a wire transfer is probably best.

The exchange rate is better with transferwise, but that variable transfer fee for sure takes a bite, I will have to remember them.    I also use wire transfers for larger amounts, around $3000 is where I switch then deposit directly to our USD acct.

Use Remitly.com, cheaper fee to send and better exchange rate pickup at the same locations

We set up a dollar account for her...but it does NOT have an ATM card.... Would that eliminate this option?

Just a dollar account, not a Peso account?

She can go to the bank and exchange USD for pesos from that account
