Abandoned K1 Visa: want to start over again?

I see Red Flags here.  Why are u in such a rush?  Why don't u wait a couple of years?  Are u in university or some other post secondary format?  Are u employed?  You'll have a much better chance of succeeding at marriage and immigration if u wait a while.  If you apply to soon, your K1 visa will be rejected.  If you wait a while, a consular officer might grant you your visa.  It looks much better in their eyes that your current relationship is stable and u want to take it to the next level.  You are 19 and he is 20.  U have time on your side.  If it is meant to be, you two will figure it out.  And it will be easier to explain why u abandoned the first application.

She is 19 and has already filed for a K1 and now another one? 19 is too young to get married in my personal opinion (yes, I know there's always exceptions) but your brain is not even fully developed at that time yet. Way too young to make the decision who you're going to spend the rest of your life with. 

 

Lady, America is not like it is in the movies/tv shows. It's not as glamorous as you think. Come visit and see for yourself but don't rush into marriage.

Not to mention being this young and joining military life.. will be tough. If you're really in for a relationship, be prepared that you'll be spending a lot of time alone. Moving every 3 years. Struggle with career and jobs. Being vented by all his military friends. 

 

Trust me. My husband's buddies often would ask him if I'm really in for marriage or just scamming him for green card. it will happen to you too. 

 

If you just want a way to the US, please look for other route. Breaking someones heart is the nasties thing.

Have to agree with most. Not to say you're doing this with wrong or bad intentions; but seriously think about it. At 19, already been engaged and was being petitioned... now after a short period ready and wanting to marry someone else? Both also being Americans... Again not to say you have wrong or bad intentions and sometimes you do know the person is the one, but not generally back to back people so quickly. Mean, my husband and I kind of felt that way after 5-6 months of talking but we waited a couple years before proceeding to make sure it was what we really wanted and get some things settled. Also he's military. As an Army combat vet myself, in 6 years active duty I spent 3 of those years deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.. one of those Iraq tours being 15 months long with just 2 weeks leave thrown in there, plus add in training and stuff... Ask yourself if that became your scenario, could you handle that type of seperation? I know a lot try and fail even though they ment for it to work originally. Just something you have to think about. I myself knew I wouldn't get into a serious serious relationship until I got out because it wasn't fair to them and it was definately a strain on myself. Sit back, take time, don't rush.

OP-  You are only 19!!!  Yes, I know how it sounds, but it's true.......You have a whole lifetime ahead of you.  Don't rush into marriage. You are at an age when the whole world of experience is in front of you, so use it wisely. You seem to be spouse jumping..... Are you absolutely sure you are ready to settle down?

OP, the age thing aside, it's really important to acknowledge that IF this does not work out, your ability to come to the US even as a visitor will be affected. 

 

There's also a reason people here are bringing up your age. So it'd be wise to at least listen and consider the reasons why it's being brought up. I have a 22 year old sister-in-law who got married 2 years ago and we've been experiencing drama from her ever since, to be honest.

A recent K1 application (especially if it was very recently), and the fact that you married one another on your first visit (if you go that route) will be red flags to whoever reviews your case. You are VERY young. I STRONGLY recommend visiting one another more than once and really getting to know one another. Build a relationship. Have something solid you can speak for when the time does come and you embark on the immigration process. You will have much better chances. And it is also much better for your future marriage, if this is truly who you will wind up marrying in the long run. A stronger case this go around will help the previous K1 application hold less weight.

I already see red flags here,  why were you even talking to another guy??(none of my business, I'm not judging you, but USCIS takes this stuff seriously!!  Remember, even if you have been petitioned before, as long as you had a valid reason of why it didn’t work out it won’t mean an automatic denials at the interview stage. Basically, USCIS wants to see that you are both serious about the relationship and to show this you must show strong evidence(marrying him on your second visit is a red flag) just my 2 cents.

Your country of origin is not listed in your profile....so just to add to what everyone else is saying:

 

If your also coming from a high-fraud country, be prepared for even extra scrutiny ontop of the scrutiny you will already be facing with the prior K1 filing under your belt.

 

Hopefully your country of origin is lower down the list so as to not add to already-present issues.
