Applying for AOS, EAD & AP together

Hey guys, (and gals)

After a long and frustrating K1 adventure I made it to the US, married my now wife and we are ready to send in the AOS package. I went through the K1 to AOS guide but there are a couple things I am not sure about so I wanted to ask for your advice.

1 - When sending in the AOS I-485 package, do I need to provide additional copies of I-94, passport scans, marriage certificate etc for I-765 EAD? or is one copy of each is enough since they are all filed together?

2 - The only form the US Citizen needs to fill is the I-864 Affidavit of Support right? Everything else is about the immigrant (me)?

Thanks for your help and good luck to everyone going through the process.

We only supplied the I-94, marriage license, passport scans, ect for the I-485 portion.

Yes technically everything except the I-864 is about the beneficiary.

I treated each document as a separate application even though I filed them all together.  I had the 485 with its evidence, the affidavit of support with its evidence, the AP application with its evidence and the EAD application with its evidence.  At the beginning of the whole package, I had a cover letter with a table of contents explaining what was in the envelope.  That does not mean that I am correct.  I just looked at what each document required and gave them their own sets of documents.  Even though I helped prepare everything, I only had to sign the affidavit of support forms since I am the US spouse and not the applicant.  It seemed this packet was easier to prepare after the packet for the K-1 Visa.  Maybe I just had more confidence this time around.

I sent AOS EAD and AP package together however for each form I had separate supporting documents even if that means including 3 copies of passport etc. They will be received and scanned from one package but processed separately as different cases so I think making copies of supporting docs for each form is better. That way you don’t risk RFE later.
