Hi everyone! I just want to know how many of us are still waiting for the packet3? We filed for K1 visa and the approved petition was sent electronically to UAE last April 5 2018.

Hi@kokokrunch, I also received conditional approval coz their system had problem & CO said they need more time to process my visa. But next day, I checked CEAC status, Issued and same day received

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

@Goldfish_0529 We just received our NOA2 on Monday (June 18th) after 228 days.  So we are now waiting for the NVC number.

 

What stage are you at in the waiting game?

Adjusting Status from Conditional Green Card after K1 Visa:
4-20-21 Sent 751 packet (via USPS overnight)

4-21-21 Received by USCIS (Signed by T. Wright)

5-7-21   Receipt date on our 797 (extending GC for 18 months) {we included G-1145, got a text, but no email - for those curious.}

5-8-21   Received Text message from USCIS with receipt number, Assigning service center SRC. (@12:35pm) 

5-10-21  Check cashed/cleared our bank

5-13-21  Hard copy of 797 Received in postal mail

5-17-21 Received email notice update from USCIS account that on 17th they used his previous biometrics for 751.

5-21-21 Biometrics letter received in postal mail.

COngratulations on receiving your NOA2. Just try calling NVC after 2 weeks. 

 

I am happy to say that we are just waiting for the interview.

Did you happen to get in touch with anyone from NVC/US Embassy (AUH) to check on the status of your case before getting the appointment letter?

My fiance has been asking me to contact the embassy about the status of our case but I don't know if that's even possible. Our NOA2 was approved on April 27,2018... Abu Dhabi Consulate received our on May 22,2018 (Ready)... last date updated was on Jun 13,2018. But we have not received any mail for our packet 3 yet. 

 

 

NOA1: OCT 16,2017
NOA2: APR 26,2018 
NVC CASE ASSIGNED: MAY 16,2018
NVC LEFT:MAY 20,2018
CONSULATE RECEIVED: MAY 22,2018
PACKET 3 RECEIVED : JUL 23,2018

VISA APPROVED: SEP 5,2018.

I did try a couple of times. I sent the UAE US Embassy a numerous emails requesting for the packet3 as it worked for others in the past. However, all I received was an automated reply. I tried to proceed with the interview without it thinking that it has been two months already since they’ve received it but they turned me away 😔. It took them 2 1/2 months to send us the packet3.

On average, they’re giving the packet3 after 1 month since it became ready on CEAC. I think the reason why we got it a little bit late because of Ramadan. I am hoping you’ll get yours soon.

and ceac.state.gov:

K visas are nonimmigrant visas that assist spouses or future spouses of American citizens in entering the United States. As with all nonimmigrant visa applicants, a DS-160 must be filled out in order for a consular section to process the case.

 

Do i need to fill DS-160 ?? or i need to wait for interview call ??

Are you filing for cr1? If so then you need to wait for the letter. I guess for spousal visas the embassy will book for your appointment. You may do the ds160 while waiting.

Oh I am really sorry to hear this but you’re already outside normal processing time. What visa are you applying? You need to send them an email thru http://abudhabiivo.net/contactus.aspx calling them through their landline will be just a waste of time. I do hope you’ll get your packet3 soon!

i receive an email yesterday..:D  they send me 4 files and all requirement to fill it and then go for appointment. 

requirements are : 

DS-160 
Police certificate              
schedule your medical exam.
BIRTH CERTIFICATE
EVIDENCE OF RELATIONSHIP
EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT
PHOTOGRAPHS
FEES
