Hello All.I was searching for a similar kind of topic as I have a little bit of confusion..If anyone help me in clearing the doubts that I have it will be really helpful.Currently I am on my CR1 visa processing (immigration of the foreign spouse of USC)..I was thinking to travel to the States along with my parents. My parents will visit the USA for the first time. They will be on their own on B2 tourist visa. They will be there for a week.So my question is are they allowed to apply for their own B2 visa when their daughter (me) is on the immigration processing??Any help genuinely will be appreciated.,😊

hi

their tourist visa has nothing to do with your process. yes they might have to disclose that you are in an immigration process if asked, but they will get the tourist visa based on their own merits, showing strong ties to their country

They can apply (it's their application and you would have nothing to do with it). Each parent will be approved or denied on their own merit. Oddly enough, a one week trip between the US and India is quite uncommon.

You may expect scrutiny entering on a B2 with a CR1 pending as an overstay/AOS risk.

I-751 journey

10/30/2017.......... Check cashed

11/02/2017.......... Conditional GC expired

The one week is basically becoz my father has business here.He can't be there for more than a week.Thank u by the way.😊 And scrutiny?? I don't understand the reason for it.As you said they will be there with their own Visa and my CR1 is different.
