i-864 co-sponsor bankruptcy. Will this affect ROC?

Hi all,

 

I currently have my 2 year green card (CPR) which is via AOS from K-1.

 

My wife used a family member as a co-sponsor with form I-864 as she was a student at the time. However, that family member may soon file for bankruptcy.

 

I was wondering:

 

Would this affect my ROC in any way?

Now my wife will be earning enough to sponsor me on her own can we 'remove' the family member's I-864?

No, the US citizen spouse of my friend filed for bankruptcy before she file her I-751 and she have now her 10 years green card.

Oh is that right? Did they require a co-sponsor who wasn't bankrupt for I-751?

 

I would like to think as my wife is the primary sponsor she is the only one that matters, was looking for some clarification

your sponsor submitted the sponsorship already that's why you have your conditional green card and that is tied up to all of your application in the future which is your ROC and citizenship.

USCIS don't require sponsor income for ROC.

ROC doesn't ask for any financial proof from the joint-sponsors.

Agreed with all of the above. ROC has nothing at all to do with the financial capabilities of anybody.
