When is the earlier I can apply for renewal?

USCIS web site says “Generally, you should not file for a renewal EAD more than 180 days before your original EAD expires.”

USCIS is currently taking longer than 180 days to process a renewal, so you will have to rely on the automatic 180-day extension regardless of when you file. If you wait too long, the extension might expire as well.

It's contacting your congressman to see if they can be a liason on your behalf
I've seen them be super helpful for EAD/APs/I-129F applications that are stuck in limbo- but not heard much about people using them for GC.

Because If my case says "ready for interview" for more than 3 months, I am considering reaching out to them and figuring out what in the world they expect to do about the backlog

Oh man, yeah it is really unlikely that it will take less than 3 months. It looks more like 1.5 -2 yrs is the norm now. If you do, let me know how it goes. I will just wait, I really don't think much can be done.

You are probably right
Am just NOT interested in going through the hassle of an EAD renewal.

Right now, I want my EAD/AP cuz then I can function like a full person and will patiently wait out for a GC

That gives Houston like a full 13+ months to get me GC so yea. lol #PrayingForAMiracle#

We had success getting our congressman’s help on the first EAD, but we were in a real pickle and needed a miracle.  I haven’t tried it yet for the green card. Right now all of our really urgent problems are temporarily resolved, so I guess I’m waiting until we have another real emergency (or I think of another compelling argument to put in the letter).

We did contact the congressman back in March. The staff in the congressman office was very nice and helpful. They placed an inquire on our behalf with USCIS and we received a generic reply, the same one that we would receive through the USCIS website. Though, I was greateful to the congressman and his staff for trying to help us, it made no difference for us.

Hello. It looks like USCIS sent my EAD to the wrong address. It went to a P.O. Box XXXX at a local postal office. I do not have any P.O. Box and the address on file is correct for USCIS to send it to the correct mailing address. I went to USPS but they told me to contact the sender.

USPS Tracking # was given by USCIS.

Do online USPS lost mall inquiry? I do have  the P.O. Box # where it was sent to.

Will I be able to request USCIS to re-send another EAD today?

USCIS mailed on 8/13/18.

I just got my courtesy letter for the medical today, dated aug 3, 2018. My case status online says ready to be scheduled for interview since aug 6.

Is it advisable to do the medical now when i see a lot of people in houston still waiting for interview.
