So we just got our NVC number and my fiancee went to pay for interview.  When she got home he noticed that on the receipt, the bank misspelled her last name.  She went back and told them and they said that it happens all the time and it will not be an issue with the embassy.  They circled the error on the receipt and the cashier signed it.  Does anyone have any experience with anything like this?  She doesn't really trust the bank and she's really freaking out about it.  Thanks!

The most important thing is the case # and that the fee was paid

YMMV

I have to agree with @payxibka is that the most important thing is the case number and if that is correct. The USEM won't care about the name as long as the interview is paid for.....

I agree with the others.  Ask her to relax, and save her energy for the interview.

Gotta agree only the receipt number is important.     For sure your fiancee can relax.

Wait about 24 hours and you can get your interview appt scheduled online.
