as far as I'm concerned, I will happily give them more than what they asked for if it helps yield off an RFE that may or may not be necessary. We sent scanned copies of BOTH of our passports as well as new passport photos for both of us.

For something that takes so little time and money, it's well worth the piece of mind.

If you want to play the semantics game with the government, that's on you.

Your timeline shows you filed an I-129F. The photos from both individuals are required for the I-129F in all cases still.

Sending unnecessary information won't harm your case (obviously assuming it doesn't contain negative information about your case), but it doesn't help it either.

You do require a photo of the passport bio page if the beneficiary has ever been in the US.  Also, NVC requires the 2x2 passport style photo for processing there.  It requests "Photo" with no explanation.  I called NVC and they said that is to upload a passport style photo of the beneficiary.  I did that and all photos were accepted.

We did not send any with the petition since they live overseas.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

Yesterday we received a rfe and asked my boyfriend for a photo of his passport that same day we sent the photo I hope they do not take long to answer us

The US Citizen must submit a "passport STYLE photo" WITH the petition.  That is NOT  a photo of his passport.  It is a photo of HIM, that is passport style and size.

If you are the foreign spouse, you will need several of the same type photos later in the process.  One for the NVC stage and three or four more for the medical exam and interview.  YOUR passport style photo will appear as part of your actual spouse visa.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
