IF man is actually the cause for global climate change, then THIS is the root problem.  What should we do about it?

Personally I think it is too late to do anything. We should have dealt with this 10+ years ago. Now we just have to wait and see how long human life will be sustainable on this planet.

Right now Sweden is experience extreme drought and lack of water. Today there was a thunderstorm and thanks to that we now have at least two, probably more, new forest fires added to the one they've been fighting for days. They've had several days of 86 degree heat. Normally if we're lucky we get one or two days like that per year. Now they've had really warm weather since about May which is usually not a hot month.

And it's not IF man is actually causing it. WE ARE making global climate change worse. We're speeding everything up and sadly so many people are in denial and now it's too late to do anything about it.

I agree it's probably too late to change course, I don't think anthropomorphic contributions to global warming are enough to wipe out the human species. It would be a significant reduction in population and also in the capacity to support population levels at this level for long time.

Loss of other species, such as bees (previously mentioned) would probably be more significant, but still shouldn't be enough to cause the coup de gras.

Of course, in a billion years, when the sun becomes a red giant and the oceans are vaporized, everyone will be screwed.

They have waterless toilets in the USCIS office in Detroit.  Nice and smelly.  Personally, I think business use them to get people to leave the rest rooms as soon as possible.

The bee claim is another one I have a hard time with.  As a former bee keeper myself, I know full well how important they are.  But to think that the end of bees is the end of humans... that is a stretch, IMHO.  Many other insects and animals pollinate plants, though not as well as bees.

“Island disappearing” is a tad strong, at least in the next 1,000 years.  But you are right, it will happen eventually, unless something triggers another ice age before a total meltdown.  Bear in mind, as people focus on the North Pole, the South Pole is growing daily.

Bees pollinate the majority of the crops we use for food. If not all people die, at least most of them will starve to death because we won't be able to feed everyone. Not that we can now either.

Take a look at the history of the Hawaiian Emperor Island chain.  Most of the islands have since disappears primarily due to erosion and not any human activity.  This is a natural process particularly with volcanic islands.  Heck the Big Island is currently growing with the volcanic eruption ongoing, and there is a new island with its volcano in the pre-shield stage that will emerge in a few thousand years.

What is this blasphemy?  Are you trying to say that the earth will do what it wants with or without we humans?

That mankind isn't the ultimate decider of her fate?  Or that these changes were happening for eons before we existed?  And will continue with or without us?

What I am talking about has nothing to do with volcanoes and erosion.

The point is the earth is full of examples of islands disappearing due to natural forces.  There are those that believe the current climate is a result of human forces.  My argument is that natural forces far out weigh anything humans can do.

Funny you should mention that, we are actually leaving for the galapagos tomorrow, and that's a perfect example of islands' lifecycle, how they come to life, then slowly die away as they move further away from the hotspot that created them while that hotspot creates a new island in another ones place
