Well, they were pretty forward with me haha the doctor was nice but he always reminded me that if I lied I could get in trouble because they would find answers. They took blood from me as well.

I didn’t have one vaccine and they gave me 2 options 1) pay them $50 to administer it and 2) go to my dr and have them send the paperwork back to them (causing a slight delay). I opted to pay them to give it to me. The medical exam (completed in Surrey, Canada) was painless other than the shot but the x Ray was a hassle. I also had to go to a lab and complete blood work. It was an all day event for me by the time I was finished waiting at 3 different places (the doctor’s office, the lab for the blood work and then for the x Ray).

And I guess you have to make sure to at least mention it, or? I remember the doctor kept asking me "anything else that I should know about?"

Only if asked. You don't need to disclose anything unless asked specifically. A generic "anything else?" is not an issue.

I found some information that they test you on HIV, Syphillis and Gonorrea here in Colombia

I got tested on those things with my husband in Mexico, last August since it was a requirement for us to get married there

It will be completely fine don’t sweat the medical at all! Just time consuming and expensive more than anything. If you don’t know Bogotá well I would just maybe make sure you know where you’re going beforehand so you aren’t late.

They don't even do HIV tests anymore.

If you're missing vaccines, they give them to you at the exam and update your vaccination card.  Little extra charge, but usually reasonable.  You're all up to date when the envelope gets sealed.

UNLESS:  You are expecting a lil one.  They won't update your MMR (if you're short a booster) but will make a note about it.
