Nice! Well done. Did you send in any additional evidence of bonafide marriage? At this point there isn't much - no joint accounts, I'm not on the lease, there's really not much until I got my SSN and a job. What did you send in? Just certificate of marriage or more?

nothing with bonafide marriage, because my wife just literally got here 7 days ago. she has no SS# or else. We need SS# for almost 99% of things, even the lease at my apartment needs it. Just the marriage certificate and the most current paystubs.

Yes I think that's what we'll do too. There will be enough evidence by the time of the interview (after about a 100 years of marriage) ;)

No but seriously, just checked waiting times for my area, it's 1+ year, sometimes up to 17-18 months. Fingers crossed they will go down.

yaaaay joining that party right there!!!

we have filed on wednesday, but they received our package today, june 1st, so i am officially a part of you guys :)

is it just me, or does it feel less bad now that we are with the boo's? :D

i don't mind the wait now, as it's easier to be with my mister under one roof..

Welcome!! :D Glad to have you back! I agree it's definitely easier now, but I have also only been here about a week... Might be climbing the walls in a few months without work authorization, who knows ;)

Question about the AOS package - did you submit one set of evidence per form (so two photos for I-485, two for I-131, two for I-765), or just one set? Also, for the I-131 they ask for "USCIS receipt of present status in the United States" (I assume I-94 will suffice) and "copy of receipt that AOS is filed for" (I assume when filing concurrently, this is not needed). Is this how you did it, too?

yes, i have sent 3 set of 2 pix for each request (I-485,  I-131, I-765) to assure they won't RFE us lol

yes, i have printed the I-94 online, as some people seem to get it when they enter the country, others get it online.

so i had to print it out and just sent that copy with it.

if you want, you can send me your email and i will send you the cover letter i have used (sorry i'm a control freak hahaha)

to remember every single paper and copy that they need.

i also picked up at the 99 cent store a pack of little folders (this pack had 3 in it so yaaay), and i

basically put the cover letter with the check in the front, and each of these 3 folders have the I-485,  I-131, I-765 separate in one of them.

just made it look a bit organized and easier for whoever is going through paperwork :)

have you filled out all the forms yet?

N-400: 12/05/2023 (confirmed fingerprints are re-used)

Interview scheduled for: 05/09/2024

Gotcha, thank you, that's how I interpreted the instructions too!

Yes sure, I'll pm you this weekend. Thank you! I don't mind control freaking, this is important stuff :D I have actually filled out all the forms, and husband filled out the I-864, so we're almost good to go. I have all the evidence but just printing/copying and making everything orderly will probably take some time too. Plan to have it sent out Monday morning.

By the way, did you have the copy of your marriage certificate certified? If you did, how was it certified? And did you send in anything to prove you already had the medical?

Go to the cour house and get a stamp will make it certified. Or ask clerks there.

Not necessarily. Better tell the clerk in the courthouse that you need a certify one. Otherwise they might just give you a normal one. In my case, I got a court house stamp on the paper to make it certified. If I didn’t mention to get a certified one, they would not stamp on it. Also , I paid 2$ for that stamp.

The courthouse we used to get our license, at least here in Alabama, charges $2 and puts a seal on it, which is the certification. It's not a rubber stamp.
