Year and a half time frame?

Sounds about right.

Be advised that just about all immigration categories are taking longer than usual timelines.

Just keep track of the progress periodically and be prepared for a long wait.

I’m little worried now. I filed in Feb 18, and hoping by end of this year, I should become USC. Does it really take this long? Was there anything wrong with your application?

don't worry about it. I also applied in February and I just had my oath ceremony. My estimated time of completion was December of this year, but I finished the whole thing in 3 months!

Thank you,  gave me a little hope.

I applied online & my est. time is Feb 2019. I’m getting USC by 5 yr rule. ( it was Dec first, then changed to Feb)

does it depend on which service center, case type or age of person?

I think it has a lot to do with the service center and how straightforward your application is. Mine was very simple: single, never married, no kids, full time university student, no traffic tickets, etc. I wish you the best of luck!

I thought for N400, service didn't matter. how do I know, which service is mine? my receipts # starts with IOE#.

I also think my is straightforward too, single , no kids, full time job, no criminal history, 1 or two speeding tickets and I don't think it matters.

I m becoming USC under the 5 yr rule

thanks

How did you get yours so quick?

I applied on March 5th 2018 I had my Oath Ceremony on May 17th. So that I think 72 days. When I applied it said estimated time April 2019 so they were just a touch faster.

I think it depends on what office you go through and how busy they are. Here's a little screen shot of my timeline it show submitted date at top. It's either going5b0f8d1475afe_Capture_2018-05-31-01-44-51.thumb.png.a65c7c1f7efc267b362a5729b14fe642.png to encourage you it won't take so long ...or upset you that mine went so quick
