Ok everyone so I am glad I found this post..

I've applied for ROC/I751 IN LOS ANGELES ON 11/14/2015.

Is been pending and on 05/14/18 I got the letter saying it was transferred to NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER LEE'S SUMMIT, MO, 64064 (MISSOURI)

I applied for N400 under 3 year rule on 11/2017 AND HAVE MY INTERVIEW FOR IT IN 13 DAYS. (they should know my roc is pending as I sent the letter with my online application)

Can anyone help me to figure out what is going on?

I will be very mad if I go to my interview and instead of being a combo they be like ''we have to wait for NBC's decision on your ROC first)

I did filled an online case request today for that ROC...

NBC doesn’t adjudicate petitions it rather prepares them to be adjudicated at your local USCIS field office. You’ll have a joint I-751/N 400 interview in the day of your N 400 interview. Take your spouse as well just in case she’s needed for the I-751 process. All your A files should be at your local office on that day.

You won't necessarily have the ROC/N400 interview together. It's not a for-sure thing. You should, if they send it to the local field office prior to your interview. But ours got snagged that way. We've been calling and messaged NBC to see if we can get some movement on the ROC since that's all that's left.

05/14: We were married!!

06/04/14: Finally marriage license was recorded & we got a copy

06/05/14: AOS package mailed via Fed Ex overnight to USCIS Chicago Lockbox

06/06/14: (Day 00) Confirmation of delivery & receipt date recorded by USCIS

06/11/14: (Day 05) NOA 1 Hard copy of receipt received

06/13/14: (Day 07) Form I-797C received, Biometrics appointment scheduled for July 8

07/01/14: RFE for co-sponsor salary and tax info, which was already sent with original package. Resent a copy on 07/08/14.

07/08/14: (Day 32) Biometrics appt.

08/10/14: (Day 65) Noticed that USCIS status has changed from Initial Review to Testing & Interview!

08/21/14: (Day 76) Received EAD/AP in the mail!

09/25/14: (Day 111) Email notice with interview date set for OCT. 29!

10/29/14: (Day 145) Interview day - APPROVED!!!

09/21/16: Mailed in I-751 Removal of Conditions

10/14/16: Biometrics appointment

8/8/17: Mailed N-400 Naturalization Application

8/15/17: USCIS texted that they've received N-400

9/8/17: Scheduled for biometrics

10/11/17: In Line to be Scheduled for N-400 Interview
6/23/18: N400 Interview (recommended for approval pending I751)

8/1/18: I751 Interview - approved

Not sure if there was something else stopping you, but a pending ROC (or N-400 for that matter) doesn't restrict you from traveling.  You're still a permanent resident and are free to travel outside of the US provided you don't give USCIS reason to suspect that you have abandoned your residence.

Is a burocracy from Brasil really the problem, they wanna see a physical valid green card or the american passport... they don't take the extension papers as proof

I hope not too @bahamamama234. I've seen a couple times from the recent NBC I751 transfers where the ROCs don't make it to the N400 interviews and then the N400s have to wait. Myself and one other person I've seen on the forums so far. Not sure if this is a glitch or if this is signaling a change in how they process those that were transferred to Missouri.

From what I understand not all IO understand the process, but I think they will figure out that they should adjudicate the two cases n400 and i751 , this process has to be done soon, and the Congress man can help , everybody saying that NBC Processing Times is 6 months

Yes, when I spoke with a recent Tier 2 officer, he was saying that it's the goal to adjudicate them together, but that it's up to the individual IOs and sometimes they'll do it differently. I'd say the large majority are still adjudicated together, except for us unlucky few.

Hopefully they get on this and start informing their IO'S a bit better...

I heard of a lot of people going to n400 interview and some don't mention about ROC so they getting citizenship and roc still pending lol and they already have american passports

Others are only mentioning ROC after n400 interview gets done and passed...

I guess depends on your location and what not but is a shame not all their workers are following the same protocol and making it less dreadful to us

Hi, just wanted to update here too because I had posted previously about our I751 being transferred to Missouri. Here's the latest:

We had an Info Pass appointment yesterday to get another extension stamp in my husband's passport. We brought all our documents, including the form we were given after his citizenship interview a few weeks ago, and asked again about what is happening with our I751. The officer we got for our InfoPass was really nice and helpful. She looked over everything and said that something didn't seem right. She went into the back office for a long time and when she came out she said she had located our I751 application. It's at the local field office and has been this whole time. Meanwhile, we'd been told it was in Missouri at the NVC everytime we callled the helpline because that's what it said on their computers. For whatever reason, it says our interviews had been bundled together, but they weren't. Anyway, an awesome result because she was able to get us going for scheduling another interview for the I751, which should happen in early August. Assuming all goes well and it's finally approved, my husband can get schedule for his oath.

So this has delayed us by about a month, but thankfully not the 15+ months we were told could be a possibility.

I knew it was a mistake... I heard that when our roc cases get transfer to Missouri is because they gonna schedule us an interview for n400 and on that day they should adjudicate ROC... I guess from now on anyone in similar situation should tell the officer on their interview date to go speak to their supervisor or demand yourself to do so and if they look close enough they will realize they supposed to interview for both cases..

I think you're right. It was a combo of the officer not being aware of what should have happened at my husband's N400 interview and then everyone telling us that his application was still in Missouri and that we would just have to wait until whenever it came up to process. Sadly, that was the worst advice because it was wrong in their system and we could have waited forever and nothing would have changed. Anyone else who has a similar situation, the best thing to do is to educate yourself on policy and process, keep going in to speak with the local office and advocate for yourself using that knowledge. It's good to know that it really is at the local field office after being in Missouri and I'm so happy it's back on track, but a needless delay that could have ended up a lot worse.
