Hello guys, I wanna know is a legal permanent resident can work in law field. (Police, Military) Ect...

What department would this be for? I know LAPD's requirement is: Individuals wishing to become LAPD officers must first meet eligibility requirements. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, and be a US citizen or permanent resident alien who has applied for citizenship. One does not have to be a resident of Los Angeles to become an LAPD officer. Upon meeting eligibility requirements, individuals can apply for a position with the LAPD by completing the online application, with includes preliminary background screening questions as well as a job preview questionnaire to assess the candidate’s readiness for police work. Accepted candidates then complete the selection process with additional aptitude, medical, and psychological exams. Those who successfully pass all stages of the process will complete officer training at The Los Angeles Police Academy.

Depends. In some states you need to be US citizen to work in the police. In few you can apply as a green card holders but there is also whole bunch of other requirements.

You can enlist in army. Air force will require at least 10 year green card though.

But keep in mind - even if you enlist/get hired in police as green card holder, a lot of jobs and positions will be kept away from you since only US citizens can acquire specific security clearances.

That's true...federal jobs are only reserved for US citizens. I worked for a few years as a recruiter for a staffing company that specialized in journeymen (highest range for an electrician), and high qualified technical personnel. One project, remodeling a federal building, only hired US citizen journeyman....because even though it was a  temp assignment they were considered 'federal employees'....and paid as a federal employee...$70 per hour

With military, they won't even let you take some jobs/school  if your spouse is not US citizen. My husband was inquiring about some special trainings and army said no because I am not a citizen. Even though my husband obviously is. :P
