Online n400 filing & confusion on how to complete arrest sections

Hi,

 

I’m having serious concerns about how to fill out the sections for arrests etc.

 

i was arrested for DUI, convicted of wet reckless with 2 year probation (served & completed) so I’m answering the questions as I understand them, my confusion lies with the follow up questions.

Do they need to be completed with exact dates or is the date of my arrest enough?

Also not sure if I have enough evidence, I only have the forms that were sent to me by my lawyer and it was almost 4 years ago now so memory isn’t great (especially since I try to forget this bit of my past)

for an specific charge like that i would go get the court records, a certified printout from the court records. the only way of explaining what had happened that matters and get your own details of it from there

I have emailed the lawyer but that’s also a good idea, thanks for that.

 

the follow on questions are confusing as each section seems to be aligned to the previous section questions, & each time you complete it adds a line to the application making it look like you have multiple items on your record & not one.

You will need to get the required certified court dispositions regarding your case and upload them with your application----bring the originals to your interview.

Thanks, I will be requesting certified copies of the court records, however I'm still not sure how the follow on questions need to be completed. It seems like I will be adding multiple evidence entries when I only have the one incident.

 

I'm hoping the records will allow me to put better dates in than the one I remember.
