JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israel for the first time admitted that it bombed a suspected Syrian nuclear reactor in 2007 and said on Wednesday the strike should be a warning to Iran that it would not be allowed to develop nuclear weapons.

The military released previously classified cockpit footage, photographs and intelligence documents about its Sept. 6, 2007, air strike on the Al-Kubar facility near Deir al-Zor in eastern Syria.It said the reactor was being constructed with help from North Korea and had been months away from activation. Amos Yadlin, Israel’s military intelligence chief at the time, said on Israel Radio that even with a functioning reactor, it would have taken Syria years to build a nuclear weapon.
 
 
Looks like the world should thank Israel yet another time for doing what it has been unwilling and/or able to do. Just like the reactor in Iraq in the 80's...Israel saw the threat coming first. Imagine what would have happened with Isis being able to take over nuclear stuff. I know it's old news, but it's finally official. I have actually been going over alot of the original material in Hebrew over the last couple of days, if any of you can get a hold of english versions, it's worth a read, but here is some other stuff I could find:

Let me be very clear about this: the IDF deserves a medal for how it's been handling these "protests" so far. No military in the world would have shown such professionalism and surgical precision and amidst tens of thousands of people,  manage to target mostly those who are confirmed terrorists(by now 11 out of 17 have already been confirmed). Even Hamas admitted some of those killed last week were from the organization, yet international bodies call to investigate lol. And where are those bodies and the rest of the leftists regarding the environmental and ecological damage of burning 12,000 tires? What about the animal abuse(bringing donkeys to the area just so they can put an Israeli flag over them). Take a look at the pictures in this link, just terrible:
