which was closed because of its large size.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

My interview is scheduled on the 21st this month. They updated my case online yesterday and it says “document was mailed to you”. Anyone knows what document it could be? We already received the interview notice a few weeks ago so I thought it was weird.

Same here. It’s been a little over a year now. Filed requests and had an Infopass visit. We were told that due to change of address which happened half a year ago they waiting for an opening for the interview.

Is there any other way to hurry it up?

Our lives have been in limbo for this whole year and nothing seems to be done. Just wait.

how are you guys, those who waiting still, holding up?

Does anyone know how long it usually takes them to produce the card and send it out?

A week.

If, it turns out, for whatever reason, my card was stuck in production, and I cannot get an infopass in NYC (since it's virtually impossible), can I get an appointment in upstate NY or other states to ask them to look at my case or give me a temporary stamp? I really need to travel pretty soon :(

So after being upset about the medical exams which we had to do again because the process has been so slow, we go them done with Dr. who charged a more reasonable fee than most we could find ($281, here in the Austin area).  So, $562 plus our $40 in copays for the shots & TB tests.  $602 more down the pipe.  We sent the I-683 in on Monday via Fedex which delivered them the following day to the San Antonio office.  Wednesday (yesterday) I received a call directly from the officer that was processing our applications.  He said he had just approved Rebeka's but that he didn't have our step-daughter's I-683.  I explained that we sent them in two separate envelopes because they were two separate RFEs.  He said he would track down our step daughter's I-683 and would "probably approve" her as well.  So here's hoping.  He said Rebeka should have her green card in 7-10 business days.

So we didn't get sent to the back of the line.  We hopefully will be done for 2 years.  Then we start up all over again.

I just received my green card without the "your card is mailed to you" update on the website (and I definitely freaked out several times in this week because of this). I am so glad to be done for two years :)

They made you do a new medical even though you adjusted from a K1 visa??? Did you show them the USCIS website with the official wording that K1 visa adjusters won't need a new medical if they entered the US within 6 months of the medical and married within 90 days of POE?! That's insane.

I wasn't aware of that.  I guess they just made us spend more money for nothing.  Not a big surprise.  We are still waiting for them to acknowledge receipt of my step daughter's new medical exams.  I might use that information to contest them requiring a new medical in the first place.  I'm worried because we are nearing the deadline to respond to the RFE but the system shows nothing received (Fedex shows delivered on March 6th, 2018).

Did you submit the copy of your K1 medical with your AOS? It was one page that you ideally got a copy of at your medical for your own document... the vaccination paper copy where the box on the bottom says "blanket waiver received" or something like that?  That usually reminds the officer working on your case again that you are waived from a new medical... despite the fact that they should be trained knowing that anyways. If that box wasn't checked at your medical, that could always be another reason why they ask you to get a new medical.

I had my AOS interview 7 months after my medical was expired and they were fine with it.

Hi! I'm in Austin too, and it's been almost a year since I applied for AOS
Can you please give me the details of the doctor that did your medical? In case they ask me to do a new one too?
Thanks!!!

I see that your NOA1 date is March 15. Mine is March 30, so HOPEFULLY I'll have news soon, as I'm also in Austin.

I need to renew my combo (EAD/AP) card, since I have no news of my AOS and it's less than 90 days to expiry date.

Any changes since last year that I need to be aware of?

He charged $281 each for our I-683 medical exams.  I think noting what was mentioned by user Californiansunset is worthwhile.  It sure seems like K1/K2/K3/K4 visa holders aren't required to do another medical exam according to the instructions for the I-683.
