Hi Guys ...

my interview was in 21 February and everything was good but the consular officer asked for addional documents which is " joint sponsor " but after my wife emailed them to explain that she can sponsor me with no joint sponsor and will send a new W2sfor the last year 2017, they answerd her its okay to send a new w2s and refile a new I-864 to reveiew it  and they will answer us ..

this is the letter that my wife sent it to the emabassy

This is for case#ALG.............. for my husband,................ He had his interview 02/21/18 in Algiers. He was told we would need a joint sponsor, because my W-2 showed I only worked 6 months of 2016. Unfortunately, at the time I was sending in our packet, we were in between tax seasons. I have since gotten all of my W-2s for 2017, and made over $22,000. I can get a joint sponsor, but I made over the requirement for 2017. Is there a way for us just to send the W-2s from 2017 so we do not need to get a joint sponsor? Thank you very much for your assistance.

and this is their answer ...

Dear Madam,

You may provide your 2017’s W2s, however you may have to refile a new I-864 with this new information, sign it then scan it and send it to us by email. Consular Officer will review it and we will answer you or the beneficiary regarding the result.

after my wife sent them the  w2s and  the new I-864, when i check my visa status on ceac everyday  it says case last updated 22-feb-2018 , case last updated 23-feb-2018, case last updated 24-fe-2018, case last updated 28-feb-2018 but still the same visa status, the question is why they keep updating the case everyday but not the visa status ?

can someone explain to me please cus i am so stressed .

I noticed one thing from CEAC website. Every time you checked your status, the date will change to the last time you check it. For example,  I checked my status on Feb 25. Then I didn't check it for few days. Today, I checked the status again. The date stated in last update will be Feb 25. It doesn't mean that they did touch my file or doing something with it.

Thanks alot for ur detailed question actually i am in the same situation. The Co asked me to provide joint sponsor in this same situation even in this tax year 2017 my income is sufficient baked by pay stubs emp letter etc. I'm going to send it this week.

As for as ur question is concerned it's a very good sign that yr case status is updated it means that they are working on yr case. The case status is updated every time when u make a query through email or they touched ur case. Hopefully  they will issue yr visa after few updates. case status will change from Administrative Process => Ready ==> Nonimmigrant ==> Issued

Wish u very good luck fr ur visa issuance soon please keep updating on yr case

Every time anything is done to your case, it is “updated” on CEAC. Wife sends them an email inquiry, it’s updated. Wife sends them the documents, it’s updated. Someone does something with that email (maybe saves the attachment in your case folder or however they do it, prints it, forwards it internally, whatever), it’s updated. They make a note in your file new form received, it’s updated. You call and ask them what’s going on, it’s updated. Someone eventually looks at the file, it’s updated. Lots and lots of reasons for updates before the “issued” one that you’re waiting for...

Thank you for your reply .... So, that's  mean they are  working  on the file and it's possible the visa status  change anytime .
