AOS and working permit for DACA

Hi, I entered USA legally, H4. My mother brought us here, and unfortunately her visa expired. I overstayed, and finally got a working permit through DACA. Now, I'm married to a USC. We are going to file for AOS this week. My working permit will expire on October 2018. Should I apply for renewal for work permit together with AOS this week, or I should just apply for AOS. I'm not sure if I can apply as early as now for renewal of work permit. But once it expires on October, I can't renew it anymore through Daca.

hi

it's not a renewal, it's a different work permit, a renewal would be if you would renew the work permit under DACA

you are filing for a work permit based on adjustment of status, married to a US Citizen

As Aleful said, its a different work permit since it is no longer under DACA but AOS. I suggest you apply for it.

I am also adjusting, and i am a DACA recepient.

I have an attorney and we did not apply for work permit.

Sent application 10.30.17

I have my biometrics done and status in USCIS website sais its being sent for interview to be scheduled. The status changed on 1.10.17. But i have not had any other updates since. My DACA expires August 2018.

I am going to check on applying for Workpermit soon since i did not apply for it initially and i have not heard anything yet. Dont want to be stuck without a work permit and being unable to work. I have a 1 year old as well that depends on me, so dont want to risk it...

My DACA permit expires November 2019. I applied for my AOS work permit, have my biometrics appointment for next week. --What did you do biometrics for?

This time around for the AOS biometrics, it was much quicker compared to the Biometricts for DACA. They took my fingerprinta from one hand only. They searched for my history of fingerprints and confirmed that they matched. Basically that it was me. Took my picture, signature and that was all. It was under 30 min from the moment i walked in and out.

Similar process as DACA basically.

But DACA takes all of your fingerprints again every renewal. This one, they just basically confirmed that it was me and fingerprints matched.
