Hi everyone.

i am not sure if this is where I should put this question so it it’s not, my apologies please.

My husband and I are about to send in our I-130 petition next week. We had done K1 and was denied due to not enough evidence of bonafide relationship early last yr. We got married in dev 1st last yr and do here we are.

My concern is that I, the beneficiary travels in Asia importing goods to my country, Kenya and it takes a while before I go back home.

Will this affect our case? The fact that I’m not home? Does what the beneficiary do have effect on the case in any way?

We want to be super sure of everything this time before sending in the papers.

You're allowed to travel during the process. You just need to have legal residence in the country in order to interview there, still.

1/2/18: EAD + AP approved (no website update), 1/5/18: EAD + AP mailed, 1/8/18: EAD + AP approval notice hardcopies received, 1/10/18: EAD + AP received

9/5/18: Interview scheduled notice, 10/17/18: Interview

10/24/18: Green card produced notice, 10/25/18: Formal approval, 10/31/18: Green card received

4/6/2017: Received, 4/12/2017: Sent to Riyadh embassy, 4/16/2017: Case received at Riyadh embassy, 4/21/2017: Request case transfer to Manila, approved 4/24/2017

 

K-1

5/1/2017: Case received by Manila (1 week embassy transfer??? Lucky~)

7/13/2017: Interview: APPROVED!!!

7/19/2017: Visa in hand

8/15/2017: POE

Travel for business has no impact on the process as long as you get to your home country for the medical and visa interview.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
