Hoping to find guidance as I do that see it posted, but maybe I didn't dig deep enough. Our NOA1 notice date is November 28th for AOS, AP and EAD. My husband has the Biometrics on December 18th. And we had no RFE. As of January 31st, per the USCIS site, his AOS is "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview". It's 2 weeks and nothing was received in the mail. Both the AP and EAD are still saying "Case was recieved" with a date of November 24th.

Should I be calling to find out what's going on? It will be 12 weeks (90 days, not including weekends or holiday's) since they accepted our submissions.

So many approvals for November submissions, and I feel stuck in "immigration hell". But curious about the "interview" status and not receiving anything about it.

Well first of all, my AP and EAD took around 3 months to arrive. So for yours, it should come soon! (maybe end of this month or so?). About the AOS, I have been on the same status as your husband since the end of September. I see that you are going through Philadelphia PA which the website says that takes around 277 days from NOA1 to Interview and 237 from the day of the Biometrics to the day of the Interview.

With that said, don't worry about the AOS, it tends to take A LONG TIME before the interview is scheduled.

Thank you Andsco,

Then why change the status to Ready for Interview (rhetorical question)???!! Seems really premature and gets peoples hopes up.

Hahahaha I think the exact same thing!! My husband and I keep making that joke on "how long do they need to set a date...? (it seem to be the biggest VIP place in history where you need months to get a date to get in  ). Don't worry, I guess they change it because if they didn't find anything that might stop them from giving you a date, then they have to change it to the next "status". Once he gets his AP/EAD just make sure to keep track now and then on the AOS status. Think that the EAD has a year validation, if you see it is approaching the expiration date (give around 3 months before the expiration) then make sure to renew (just in case). Anyway you guys should get the interview date before the year ends! (I should be getting it around July and because Seattle is a really busy office..you guys should get it around that time or a little bit after!)

This is good info. I actually hope the AOS changes to issued and the interview is waived...like most are.
