Hi everyone :)

We're a March 2017 filer here I'm from Philippines by the way my fiancé is from California . Just wanna asked someone who done all the medical and interview just recently.

My fiancé got an email last friday from the Embassy that I can Schedule for my interview already.

I have lots of questions please help me...

1) my fiancé haven't send yet all the requirements I needed for the interview, and I haven't receive yet the mail of the embassy of what are the documents I needed.  Honestly I just searched in YouTube what are those.  Is that okay to file for a schedule already?

2) what will I do first, file an interview or file for my medical?  how will I do it?

2) what are the documents I needed to bring during medical? Though, I still don't have the original copy of nvc letter,  still with my fiancé.

3) we can choose for the interviewer or Consul? How?

4) can I bring my CENOMAR on hand or I need to sent it directly to the embassy?

Thank you so much.. Hope for your response everyone who already done all those things. Thank you so much.  By the way happy new year to all. 😊

  1. You can schedule the interview with USEM. You don't send USEM any documents beforehand....they're all brought to the interview.
  2. The medical at SLEC is walk-in only...first come, first served. Upon successful conclusion, you will get a sealed packet (and x-ray CD) to take with you to the interview.
  3. No, nobody gets to choose their CO for the interview. COs at some embassies have cases assigned to them beforehand, but USEM has windows (and a couple standalone rooms) that you just walk up to when it's your turn. The CO doesn't know who they are getting before you show up at the window, and you won't know who they are until you're in line.
  4. You bring it with you by hand.
    1. Any missing documents at the interview will result in a 221g refusal, pending receipt and review of the additional documents.

I suggest looking through the following website for the process at USEM (Thanks @Hank_):

There is a link to the embassy instructions letter from the link geowrian gave you (plus it is in my signature below), do use that instructions letter as your checklist to the visa application process at USEM.

There are also page with info for SLEC and CFO.

I have requested you posts be moved to the Philippines forum

@hank,  can you please tell me if I'm right.  I have my mnl#,  copy of nvc letter sent by my fiancé, I just need to print the receipt then go to bring,  then wait until 12 to 24 hrs to schedule online. My questions is, do I really need to fill-out the DS-160 to have an interview date though my fiancé didn't know when will his documents will be sent here in Philippines?  is that okay I will only conduct first the medical without filling out the DS-160 or it is really required to fill-out it so that I can have my medical? (cause I'm thinking to just do the medical first then later is to choose my interview date) this makes me confuse.  Sorry, I really need your help. Thank you so much.

You do not have to have a scheduled visa appointment.  You must provide them a copy of your Letter with you MNL# and provide the name, address (include city, state, and zip code), contact number, and email address of their petitioner in the U.S.A.

YMMV

Do read item E under K-1 visa applicant requirements.   Visa appointment confirmation is required.    (and yes I saw the IF )

http://www.slec.ph/us-visa-applicants.shtml#required-docs

The validity of the visa is tied to the date of the medical, if one is completing the medical months before scheduling their interview they will be give themselves a short time to complete things afterwards.  The majority are not delaying for months for the interview .. thus NO value in getting the cart before the horse.

   huh?     G relates to completing the online registration at SLEC, has nothing to do with have the interview scheduled.

Huh?     What has online registration at ST. LUKE's have to do with the embassy and the interview?      Read slower.   You are confusing TWO separate events       May I ask- How far are you in this visa process?  Your timeline is blank.

Huh? Online registration is for SLEC only, and is optional.
