I am a US citizen and I applying for my husband who is a Jamaican citizen. I have filed the I-130 and I have a receipt of October 5th of this year (2017). Does anyone know how long it will take from this point to get my husband home with Me? Also, what is the next step going to be? Thank you!

It will take around 6 to 10 months for the I-130 to be approved but that is just the petition, not the visa application. The visa application is the next part of the process. Then there is the medical and interview. Overall you need to allow around 12 to 14 months.
