Hi All,

I am not so happy with USCIS. My cased was filed in June 2016.

I recently contacted congressman in my area. They helped me to contact USCIS to expedite my case.

Today I received a letter from UCSIC requesting more evidence. Man, they put my case on hold this long

and now they are telling me this because congressman tapped on USCIS's shoulder??

Anyway, I need transcrip of past tax return, do you know IRS will quickly respond to our request?

They charge $50.00, but it worth it. I hope they hurry.

Transcripts are free.  If you order online they mail them within a couple of days.  You can also request them online to download and print immediately.

They sent three years of transcripts all the way to Saudi for us.  We paid nothing.  Who's charging you fifty bucks?  It's probably a scam.

yes.  Transcripts are free.  I believe they might charge for a full copy of your return but you do not need that.

Order by mail.  It will be there in less than a week.

Thanks. Glad to know it's free.

I filed the tax return.

We filed ourselves by hand writing.

So IRS is going to send us scanned documents when we filed returns?

They send a printout (their own format) with all of the filing information on it.

They do not send you full returns or scanned documents.

I always fill out the paper forms by hand and mail them in.  Obviously someone keys in the data I entered on my forms which goes into some IRS database, because the transcripts I've received are a printout in their format, not photocopies of my original forms.

Although transcripts are recommended, you don't actually need them.  If you have copies of the original forms you filed, you can send copies of those instead.  The only down side is that you will have to send copies of every form and all the attachments you sent, such as W-2s, 1099s, etc.

Good luck!
