N-400 online application portal won't let me delete uploaded files

Greetings. I was in the process of trying to upload some required files to my N-400 online application... I thought I uploaded the wrong file so I deleted it and re-upload. When I finished upload, the previous file that I uploaded was still there along with the one I newly uploaded. So I tried deleting them all, save my progress and log out to start over. But when I logged back in, all those files including both old and new are still there! Is this some kind of system glitch? Would it be OK if I just leave them as the way they are since the system won't let me delete them? Please advice. Thank you!

It's a common system glitch---my documents uploaded several times as well, despite me trying to delete the duplicates.

In the end, USCIS receives what they need, and the documents attach properly---which is all that matters ;)

would you please sharing what documents you uploaded online ?

did  you actually number those documents ? like 1, copy of green card , 2,copy of tax return transcript, 3,4....etc

did you upload a cover letter ?

Thank you, @Going through !I

@usdreamer I just uploaded whatever was required on the N-400 paper application instruction + some other evidences that I think would be helpful since I was filing under the 3-year spouse rule (e.g. joint bank statements, house lease, joint insurance, etc.). I didn't number them but I made sure to named the files according to what they are. I did upload a cover letter just in case.

  • 2 months later...

I am facing similar problem of not being able to delete a (duplicate) version document uploaded. I loaded a PDF format of a document first ; then realized JPEG is probably better . So i loaded JPEG and deleted PDF version of same document.  But in the end both version of documents still appear with the  N400 application . Appreciate if people who faced glitch  with the system earlier can share the experience (if its fine to leave both version of docs) or solution to delete  , if any ?
