Hmmmm....the thing is we are waiting on the biometrics appt so we can send the 485 to the immigration judge...we have to do it that way since he was in a detention center. I'll ask the people there at the appt. Is anyone else in this predicament?

Hi! Im about to send my AOS package and I was wondering if any of you used the new option to get the ssn together with the AOS application.. and if you did, when did you get your ss card?

Im trying to decide if it is better just to do it myself..

Live, love, laugh.. and try not to think too much about USCIS

I used this option, but I'm a November filer too. I tried to post this question on the August AOS forum, but haven't got an answer.

You might want to try the September AOS forum, because I'm thinking it would arrive after EAD.

That's what I thought too. Planning to wait around 2 weeks after receiving my EAD, before going to the SS office.

Hi,

Just received my Biometrics appointment letter! Appointment is on 12/27/2017. Exactly a month after they received my case.

Can I go in earlier than the date? Does it make any difference?

I am asking because we might be heading towards a government shutdown before Christmas...  and I was wondering if you think AP/EAD could get processed a bit quicker.

Cheers

Thank you! Does it speed anything up?

I see you are exactly 1 month ahead of me :) Holler when you get your EAD/AP!

It said NSC on my bio letter - is that Nebraska? Do they process the EAD/AP's?

Hey all, I'm just curious - did anyone's online status change at myuscis after doing the biometrics appointment?  I saw some people it changes to "ready to schedule interview" or something like that.  But after two weeks, no change for us...

A lot of people received their combo and green cards through their mail without having any changes from their online status. I guess we cannot really rely on it and just wait for the mails instead.
