I just got my biometric done, as a walk in. Took me about 6 minutes tops. I probably spent more time talking with security to let me in than getting the actual thing done. Everything seems to be moving fast, but my local uscis office is currently processing Dec 2016 applications, so i cant be excited about anything at all. Just hoping the EAD gets approved quickly.

I just got mine today. Scheduled for 12/08.

Btw guys, what does the 'priority date' on the letters mean? I'm kinda confused about 'priority date' and 'received date'. LOL

I think that's just te date you get in line in the uscis systems

Our receive date was 11/06 and we still haven't gotten the bio appt letter? Should I be worried?

My receive date was 11/3. Still no notice for biometrics appointment....

I have heard people can to do a service request for the notice if it doesn't show up after 30 days since the filing date. I will do an SR if I don't hear anything in the next few days.

There is a link in USCIS website: https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Intro.do;jsessionid=abccLgBnXldHB6vi90Kaw

The online status of our I-130 says to contact them if there is no receipt notice received by 12/03. I am assuming it could also be good estimate on when to expect the bio appt letter. Our received date is 11/10. A little later than yours so I guess it won't hurt to make an SR about your case.

Did my biometrics today at the Raleigh office. It was pretty quick, they just had to send me to the ISO booth in there for further verification because of my name issues. But other that than everything went on smoothly.

I guess now the long wait begins. My online status has not been updated and still says 'Fingerprint Fee Received'.

For anyone that got the biometrics letter did it say 485 on it? We sent in the EAD form after the 485 and got a biometrics letter but it says I765 on it not 485. Does it matter?

Hey hun that normally happens when you send the EAD app separate from the I-485. I think you will get another biometrics appointment letter soon for the I-485. If you're not comfortable with waiting or still worried you can always call USCIS and speak with a Tier 2 officer.

Biometrics being done for only one of the forms happened to somebody on the October thread too (even though they filed concurrently). It looked like a clerical error in that case. There was some discussion on what it means and what you have to do.

Most biometrics letters state both 485 and 765 for people filing both of them together.

I guess they make mistakes sometimes and you might have to go to two appointments.

What I would do in that case is go to the earlier one (so you don't miss it) and then ask if you can do both at the same time; like you're doing a early walk in for the second appointment. But that can only work if you have both appointment letters before your first appointment. I really hope this makes sense to everyone and not just me lol
