Both George Papadopoulos and Michael Flynn’s client, Turkish businessman Kamil Ekim Alptekin, are tied to Israeli gas dealings and attended energy conferences in Tel Aviv last year.

I follow Flynn's case from Turkish media. In a nutshell this is basically what happened; Erdogan desperately wants Gulen to be extradited. He looked for a US lobbyist and whomever recommended god knows but found Flynn. Alptekin is the middleman who paid Flynn ~$500K at that time. Because of Flynn's investigation, Alptekin also became a part of Mueller's investigation. I don't think his other business deals (such as this Israeli deal) would lead to anything but if Mueller could show or at least make Alptekin admit the lobbying money was actually paid by the Turkish gov't that would be something. Erdogan is already dealing with lots of headache with Zarrab case in New York but looks like more pain on the way.
