I filed ours last week and just got the NOA1 today. I am despondent because the our case has been sent to the Texas center and USCIS says they are only processing cases from February :( My husband and I have been living apart since June when I returned to live in the US and I don't know how much longer I can really handle the distance.

Do you guys mind sharing the list of documents you sent? It will help me to prepare my packet properly.

There are hundreds of examples of this on this website. Do a search for it. Here's a useful post.

Feel lucky, Texas is moving much faster than the bulk of us who were sent to Nebraska. It doesn't make the process any easier, but there are worse places to be.

Thank you, I did search and I have seen this post, but it is quite old and honestly, I was just curious what the real, contemporary applicants were sending in.

Relax, this is not a race.

I think I included random and unnecessary things in my packet, which is why I would really encourage everyone to follow the older posts to the letter. I might be "more contemporary" but you also don't know if I'm going to have a RFE or have my petition rejected overall.

In any case, these are the documents I included.

I.          MONEY ORDER IN THE AMOUNT OF $535

II.         FORMS

A.         Form G-1145: e-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance

B.         Form I-130: Petition for Alien Relative

C.         Two passport photos of Petitioner

D.         Copy of all pages of US Citizen Petitioner’s passport

E.         Form I-130A: Supplemental Information for Spouse Beneficiary

III.        PROOF OF BONA FIDE MARRIAGE

A.         Marriage certificate

1.         English translation

2.         Spanish original

B.         Photographic timeline documenting relationship

C.         Petitioner’s father’s obituary, in which Petitioner and Beneficiary are listed as married

D.         Plane tickets demonstrating that Beneficiary visited Petitioner this year

1.         August 2017

2.         October 2017

E.         Proof that Petitioner and Beneficiary resided together

1.         Rental lease agreement signed by Beneficiary, which matches the Petitioner’s address in the power of attorney (see F)

a)          English translation

b)         Spanish original

F.         Power of attorney granted by Petitioner to Beneficiary

1.         English translation

2.         Spanish original
