Case at NVC in Admin Processsing

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with a case being stuck at NVC (K1) to undergo admin processing? NVC received our case 10/4 and we have been assigned our consulate case number but it has yet to be forwarded to the consulate. The people I spoke with at NVC also mentioned something about our case being processed through CEAC. Does anyone know how long this step takes or what processing through CEAC does to the time it takes?

Thank you for your response. Have you checked your case status on CEAC? Does is say there that your case in in AP or does it just say at NVC? When we check our status it says "at NVC" but doesnt say it is in AP.

Our case says at nvc.

But we have gotten emails from them saying that the case is under adminitrative processing.

Ap is a black hole, nothing we can do, just wait

I'm so sorry to hear to hear someone else is stuck in the same situation. At what point did you receive an email to notify you that your case was in AP? Was the email sent to you or your fiance? We have not received any email saying we were in AP, but the last time we called NVC we were given our case number and told it would still need processing before being sent to the consulate. Our NOA2 was 9/19 NVC received our case 10/4, we were given our case number 10/20.

We received the email because we made an inquiry on the nvc page.

You can go to nvc page, there is a form where you type your indormation and your email.

They will answer in 5 or 7 days.

I send an email almost everyday, so i get answer diferents day, always the same answer, case in ap

I called NVC again today and the person I talked said that it had sent to the consulate this afternoon. They also said I could start calling the consulate tomorrow to check if it has been received. I'm not sure if we were in AP or it just took longer than normal. When I called and was given our consulate case number is when I was told were in AP but that was only three days ago. There seems to be alot of inconsistency of information depending who you talk to at NVC. So in total our case at NVC 27 days. I truly hope you case gets sent along soon. Thank you for all your help.

Just check your status at ceac check visa status, and see if your case say ready, if say at nvc mean that they didnt sent the case to the embassy.

My fiance has called and sometime they say that the case is at the embassy but it isnt truth.

Sometimes they say that the case is at nvc waiting process

That's a good idea. I will be sure to do this. I'm going to call again tomorrow and make sure what they told me was correct. I'll keep you posted to what I find out.
