Can my Filipina Fiancee go into Japan with USA visa?

Good morning everyone, I am going to get my fiancee soon and on the flight back I would like to spend a day or two in Japan with her. I assume there will not be any issues letting her into the country from the airport. Wouldn't she be treated like a U.S. citizen?

Is your Filipina fiancee an US citizen? If not, why they will treat her as one?  If she holds a US visitor visa then she is NOT an american citizen.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Is she going to japan with an US visa?

She needs a visa. She is not treated as a citizen because she's NOT a citizen.

Agreed. If she could have all the benefits of being a US citizen like being treated like one when she is not, then immigrants wouldn't bother with naturalization.

The bad news.... No she would be refused entry to Japan for anything other than a transit without actually entering the country.   In some instances having a US Visa in her passport may allow an exemption but Japan doesn't appear to be one of those countries.  Good New... her getting a Japan visa with you submitting proof of funds to support travel and that you are accompanying her on her travels and the fiancee visa a proof of relationship seems like it is likely possible. But must be done in advance.

Doesn't matter anyway.  We visit the UK, me and the kids pass right through, my wife had to get a visa before we left.  A green card doesn't really get you much.

@IheartAsia this is something to conser. Also, I want to add if there are certain requirements for her to enter Japan be sure she has enough time meet those requirements. For example, a visitor visa for Japan may take a month to process.

Ok bummer, was hoping to do some stuff in Japan. But anyways, we can have a layover there at the airport, correct? Last time I had to stay overnight in the airport to wait for my flight the next day,  but I was able to travel around freely, I am assuming we will be quarantined to an area in the airport pertaining to non-immigrants in "transit" to other countries?

A US visa is used to enter the US and ONLY the US.  One country, Taiwan, allows Filipino passport holders a VOA if they hold a valid US visa.

You are wrong sir as long as she has her visa then she is fine to enter South Korea for tourism and later fly to the USA. We had a individual who asked about it, she found out the answer and actually did it. She then came back and reported her findings. I will post the link na.
