How do i get me spouse into the us

Hello everyone:)

 

im am wondering how can i get my spouse into the us i am a us citizen but she is not. 

I have read the i can file for the I-30 imagrant visa then after i get the notice i can then file for the I-129F. Then the k-3 which allows her to stay in the is while she waits. 

 

DO I HV TO WAIT FOR THEM TO APPOVE THE I-129F BEFORE APPLYING FOR THE k-3 OR CAN I FILE FOR THEM AT THE SAME TIME

The K-3 is said to be obsolete. Look into the CR-1 or IR-1 spousal visa :)

K3 is no longer used. It's either k1 or cr1. Sorry to break your bubble but immigration is not fast and you need a lot of patience. If you can afford to spend 8 to 12 months in a foreign country with your spouse then good for you. But you need to maintain domicile in the US or visa will be denied.

K3's aren't processed any more.  Sorry there isn't any good news on the front of not leaving her.  Your options are to stay there and look at Direct Consular Filing or visiting her as often as you can while waiting for her visa.

You heard correctly. However, I'm assuming you didn't hear that K-3s are almost never issued anymore...the I-129F is either denied due to the I-130 being approved already, or NVC administratively closes the I-129F. The I-130 remains open for a CR-1/IR-1 visa. K-3 is a relic from back when CR-1/IR-1 visas were taking multiple years to process.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

August 7, 2022: Wife filed N-400 Online under 5 year rule.

November 10, 2022: Received "Interview is scheduled" letter.

December 12, 2022:  Received email from Dallas office informing me (spouse) to be there for combo interview.

December 14, 2022: Combo Interview for I-751 and N-400 Conducted.

January 26, 2023: Wife's Oath Ceremony completed at the Plano Event Center, Plano, Texas!!!😁

February 6, 2023: Wife's Passport Application submitted in Dallas, Texas.

March 21, 2023:   Wife's Passport Delivered!!!!

May 15, 2023 (about):  Naturalization Certificate returned from Passport agency!!

 

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

01/20/2015 - Submitted N-400 for immediate naturalization under INA 319b.

02/10/2015 - Check cashed.

02/14/2015 - NOA

04/07/2015 - Case shipped to local field office.

04/08/2015 - Interview scheduled for July 6, 2015.

04/08/2015 - Wifey better be studying her butt off for the citizenship test!

07/08/2015 - Wifey was studying her butt off and passed the test easily. Oath ceremony completed on same day! We are done with our journey!

You don't have to leave her. Stay with her in Indonesia until the processing is complete. You will

need to show your intent to re-establish domicile in the USA. However, if you're living together in Indonesia, why the rush? Enjoy life together.

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

 

Now a US citizen!

Are you married in pengadilan negeri or pengadilan agama? If yes, you will have buku nikah which is needed for spouse visa or CR-1 visa. The buku nikah itself is already translated (in bahasa and english) so you don't need it to be translated. So far, most Indonesian folks I know going through this route take about up to 12 months to complete (including med check and interview at US EMBASSY in Jakarta).

I second everybody else that immigration process takes time, just gotta be patient.
