Literally, take out a sheet of paper, draw a line down the middle and write down the pros/cons of each visa type as pertains to you and your fiancee's personal situation...logistically, cost, leg work involved, time, etc.   Best way to figure out which way you want to go.

 

On an aside---you can get married in the USA as well if she has a tourist visa (regular Canadian passport) however she would have to return to Canada afterwards while you file the petition from within the States.

 

 

I would be careful getting married on a tourist Visa in the US. The current administration is trying to make this process very difficult going forward.

 

I would follow one of the two paths stated above K1 or CR-1.

07/21/17.... Received mailed hardcopies of NOA1s

07/29/17.... Biometrics Notice received in mail 

08/01/17.... Biometrics Appointment AOS - complete (walked in)

08/07/17.... Biometrics Appointment EAD - complete (walked in)

10/23/17.... EAD/AP card delivered to house YAY!
