I figured that too but I do remember seeing a few posts saying that most of the petitions have been going to Cali regardless because of backlog.

It appears to be a very rare occurance but not impossible for I-129f petitions to be sent anywhere other than the California Service Center. I just think for anyone who is a worrier like me, it helps to know for sure! :)

I had an attorney handle my Fiancee Visa, everything requested was submitted. They are just getting into May filers now, My Noa1 receive date was May 15.  It's been  145 days,  should be receiving the Noa2 soon. The last I checked,  early May filers are starting to receive Noa2 This is the longest part of the whole process. Once we receive the Noa2 approval it is only a matter 4-6 weeks for interview.

Ahh. We did everything ourselves and checklisted every form of evidence and requested documents verified by several sources including the USCIS. Hopefully, NO RFE B-)

After USCIS approves the petition, it is sent to the National Visa Center (NVC). The NVC will assign you a case number and send your petition to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate where your fiancé(e) lives.

The NVC will mail/email you a letter when it sends your fiancé(e) case to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Once you receive this letter, inform your fiancé(e) to take the below-listed actions to apply for a K-1 visa and prepare for the interview.

It's great that you're sharing a video on your K-1 journey :) However, to those who have yet to file their petition, please note the following things because @DianaLucena's submission was before all the changes that took place:

1) Use the current edition I-129F form downloaded from: https://www.uscis.gov/i-129f.

2) Current fee is $535.

3) G-325A is no longer needed as it has been incorporated into the latest edition I-129F form.

Yeah! I research about it before recording the video, and even when I'm telling MY story, the requirements I say on the video are the ones that USCIS asks right now :)

We did everything ourselves and had our NOA2 approved last month, no RFE. This process is expensive and tiring and stressful but it is fairly logical. Along as you have a genuine relationship and work through your application methodically and logically, you should all be fine :) my fiancé always says no one was ever going to care about and put as much work into our packet as we did which is fairly apt. Please do not think a lawyer is 100% necessary on this process although I’m sure it’s nice to have another pair of eyes on all that paperwork :)

I agree. Lol I admit that Matthew isn't as methodical about paperwork as I am but I put pressure on him and we worked through it together (we got on each other's nerves about it quite a few times <_<). I just hope there won't be any problems. I'm even hoping the wait for the NOA2 will be 3 months at most but that seems very unlikely for now

Spoiler

After USCIS approves the petition, it is sent to the National Visa Center (NVC). The NVC will assign you a case number and send your petition to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate where your fiancé(e) lives.
