You need to provide more information if you want help.  What country are you from and what kind of visa are you applying for? Did they ask for more papers at your interview?

Administrative processing just means they haven't decided yet. Either you need to submit more papers or maybe your background check hasn't been finished yet or they are still reviewing your case.  It can be days or weeks or months but you have to provide us with more info if you want the best response.

You dont worry about it, its a normal thing . The AP may take several days , weeks or months but it will be issued soon.

They are doing some background check first and after the final review they will issue the visa for you.

for me it has been more than two months that i am in AP (Administrative processing).

If you were told you were approved than its most likely background checks or normal AP. Everyone goes through this.  It takes some time to prepare the visa and make sure things are in order.

did they keep your passport?

or hand you a 221g white sheet?

AP in these countries is normal as so many of you have the same first and same last names

they will check the name to see if it is on any list

if it is, longer the AP to check the name out

if they kept your passport then congratulations

don't panic

sometimes AP only means they are preparing the packet  u carry to US and hand over unopened at POE when u enter this country

a longer AP can mean u have a name similar to one on a list and they need to check to make sure your travels have not taken u to a terrorist hot spot
