Please help no infopass appointments in New York!

August/September filers i need your help!!! i've been trying to make an infopass appointment in new york ever since i got my extension letter and i've had 0 luck. I literally set my alarm to wake up all sorts of hours of the morning and nothing (3AM-6AM) I've checked throughout the day as well as at nights and even a little after midnight as someone suggested on here but still...NOTHING. I've tried all the field offices in New York and they don't have appointments available. Anyone on here has any tips on how i can get an appointment? i really need this stamp.

Hello, I tried to but the NYC Infopass is completely booked. Since this is a Federal Matter, I tried Hartford, CT which had tons of spots available (Train ride from NYS), Newark, NJ has a few. Hope that helps?

Did they assist you there? i saw lots of slots open in Boston and i sometimes work there but before i made an appointment i called USCIS customer service and they said i can't go outside of NY because only the field offices that are close to my zip has my case. Therefore if i got to Boston they won't have my case and i've read on here that some NY people went to NJ and they were refused.

You just have to keep trying online.

 

Also, is the USCIS office closeby? You could try to walk in or make an appointment right there.

The Los Angeles USCIS office has automatic kiosks to make appointments. I am guessing those are free of glitches, unlike the website.

Immigration is Federal Law. Not sure why they would say that. Unlike the National 'discussion' Federal Officers at the Field Offices have access to your information irrespective of State or location

Exactly, thats why i called back today and spoke to someone else and they said it was ok and that i can go to any office. So to Boston i go....fingers crossed

I just looked now for NYC.. there are plenty of slots open for Week of Oct 11 to 15

Really? wow! unbelievable, i went on there and still can't see anything i even used different browsers.

I myself made an NYC (federal plaza) appointment just a few days ago and have made lots in the past, so try again. You do have to be reasonably quick, but it is not THAT hard.

 

Keep checking from 10 or 11pm on a Sunday until around 2am.  In the unlikely event that nothing appears, check again from around 5 or 6am onwards.

These are not exact times, and sometimes they appear earlier and later than this.

It is exactly the same procedure every day except Friday and Saturday where nothing will appear.

 

 

Occasionally the system is borked, but generally above is how to get one. There are self service kiosks in the reception of federal plaza, but they only show the same availability as online, so aren't much use really.

 

 

 

And yes, for an infopass you can go to any office - unless you encounter a real muppet who doesn't know that you are allowed to, and refuses to help you.

None of my business, but why do you need the stamp? I can't see anything on your timeline but from what you've posted it sounds like you just got your NOA/extension letter. 

 

If that's true, and you still have your (expired or about to expire) green card, you don't need the stamp for another year after the green card expiry date; before that you use your (expired) green card and your NOA (extension) letter, which extends the validity of your green card for a year.

 

PS it would really help us to help you if you wouldso that others can check to see what stage you're at, which helps us to give more pertinent advice.

I checked Fri 1 PM.. there were several Manhattan office... nothing for Long Island

 @nightingalejules From my previous posts on here, i've stated that i lost my green card. While it would have been nice to keep travelling while i still had a card until it expired, that doesn't relate to me since i have no card at all and i need proof of travel/status.

Hi! I'm trying to make an infopass appointment for NYC (Federal Plaza), but i don't see at all they are available. (Always "Currently, there are no available appointments) It seems LI office refresh the site and show the new slots at 0:01am every day, but nothing happen to NYC office. I really need to make an appointment since my sticker attached to my greencard will be expired next month. I appreciate if you give me any advice how I can make an infopass appointment. I'm checking so often every day..... (yes, followed above advice. 10pm to 2 am, very early morning, but still does not work) I cannot go to LI office and my choice is only Federal Plaza.

I followed the advice of others who commented on this post, tried at like 1pm and 2 pm and they had appointments available. Its a gamble and also if you have time to visit the city you can take a trip there and use the infopass kiosk that they have there, maybe that can also boost your luck. As for me i went to a different state and it was not easy because you can't just walk into any service centre but after much convincing i was able to get the stamp.
