Medical exams expire before my entry to the U.S

Hello. I would appreciate some help..

I got my k1 visa approved back in june 21st. Got my medical results in june 16th. In the only sheet they give me says on top the expiration date for the medical results, which is september 30th. 

I'm not able to fly to the U.S before then. I really don't know what to do or what applies..

In my passport my visa expires until december, but I read its expiration time depends on if other documents expire first.

you have to enter US before your Medical expires (that is for K1 visa)

 

K1 comes with multiple *** (T&C)

@Gorkhali the problem is that they expire this saturday and I can't travel before the medical results expire. I called my embassy by they said that's not longer their jurisdiction. So i dont know if i can redo the medical exams and be good for another 3 months maybe since my visa in the passport expires til december.

i dont know I have any answer for you in this situation. You can call USCIS for more info.

hmm, that's strange based on your dates, your medical was only valid for 3mo's? Normally the medical for a K1 visa is valid for 6mo's and if you had it in June as you stated, then it should be valid until Dec.

You need to enter the US before the visa expires. The expiration date on the medical paper you got only means that you need to get your visa before that date, or else you'll need to get a new medical. And you already have your visa so the date on the medical doesn't matter anymore.

That's what says on the top right side of the sheet they gave me at the clinic with the xrays cd. Says expiration date 09/30/2017.

Ive been reading is usually valid for 6 months but mine says that date. Maybe could be because they gave me the option to get the vaccines in the states and i decided to do that instead of right then?

Hello Scandi. That sounds great. But ive read that the expiration date of the passport is 6 months but if the expiration date on any of the documents happen first then it'll expire then.. my fiancee called the nvc, but they basically said it depends on the officer in turn, they might let me in with them expired or not admit me.

As @Scandi said you are fine for entry as long as visa is valid.

Note though: If you are getting your vaccinations in the states you will have to get a GP to fill out a i-693 with only the vaccination part to send along with your AOS. This will cost you more money and sometimes (often actually) the GP doesn't want to do it without doing a whole new medical. You can at that point try to search VJ for ppl that have done it in your city. This is why it is advised to get all vaccinations at the overseas medical for K1's.

Na..even i got a visa waiver and my vaccination report was not complete but still it was valid for 6 months...I've found the following..

yeah, getting your vaccines here is going to be expensive. According to the instructions on the The I-693 form from USCIS, it has to be completed by a Designated Civil Surgeon. This means that you cannot go to just any GP for that, you have to use one on USCIS' list. http://www.visajourney.com/content/us-civil-surgeons

The clinic where you had your medicl done gave you a date by which you need to use the results to get the visa. That is the date you see on the paper you got from the medical. You need to get your visa issued before that date or the medical expires and they will request a new one. And you had your visa issue well before that date so there's zero issues. That is usually the exact same thing with police reports etc, they can't be too old when you go to your interview. 

 

The embassy sets your visa to expire 6 months from the date of your medical. That's why your visa is valid until December. You're good to go until the visa expires.

Ive read it in forums i believe. But also along with my packet they sent two letters, one saying not to open the packet and the other welcoming me to the united states, this one says " the k1 visa is valid for ine entry only, and is valid for six months from the approval date.

However, if any of your documents expire within six months, the visa might be limited to that date."
