K-1 Visa CEAC Status Timeline Issue

My fiancé had his interview at the consulate in Paris on August 2 and they told him he was approved before he left.

Since then, the CEAC status has gone like this:

8/05 "Interview"

8/25 "Immigrant Visa: Ready"

8/29 "Immigrant Visa: Ready" (just an update to the date)

9/05 "Nonimmigrant Visa: Application Received"

We still have no visa and no new status updates. Has anyone experienced this with the consulate and is it normal for it to take this long ??? Also, we paid to do same day courier pickup at an outside location (not sure if that will actually happen) so any comments about your experience with that would be much appreciated!

it differs from embassy to embassy, you should be receiving your stamped passport soon!

What's the timeline issue? Your timeline is within the norm. It's been 2 days since the last update.  It will probably show ISSUED soon, then it will be made available for pickup/delivery shortly afterwards (i.e. probably a few days later, but could be a little longer).

So when it says ISSUED, it doesn't automatically show the tracking info? Not sure how that works.

Correct. CEAC will just show ISSUED...no tracking info. Some embassies offer a passport tracking service, but I couldn't find anything simple for France, sorry. It sounds like they send an email with info, though.,

The best info I found is here: https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-fr/iv/information/courier
