Congrats! Yes it is nerve wrecking. I kept checking the package via USPS and when I saw it had made it to their lockbox. I kept checking my checking account and that is how I found out that it had been accepted; they cashed the check the night before and sent me a text and email the next day . Now the real wait begins for us lol

Sep 7 NOA 1 here.  Grace is in the Philippines.  Hoping to connect with others in the Philippines on roughly the same schedule.  My fiancee is nervous to go to Manila alone for the medical and interview later so connecting with someone else going through at the same time would be great.

Going to Manila can be nerve racking for a Filipino that may not have been out of her province before. That's where you come in. Just make sure you plan, plan and plan some more. Make all the arrangements online and give her the information that she can print out.  The process seems daunting but it really isn't that bad. Head on over to the sub-forum and introduce yourself and meet some others that are processing and you can learn from their mistakes. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

Thanks Greenbaum.  I've actually been through the process before (unfortunately) and just watching for folks who might be there around the same time.  I'm going back in a couple of months and we'll walk everything, check hotels, etc.  

 

She's not a fan of Manila but I've been there with her once and we'll be there at least 2 more times, walking the area.  But if there is another pinay who's going around the same time frame, 2 girls meeting up in Manila and doing the process together might be easier for both.

Android and Apple apps are linked in my signature below and once you install and add your information then if there is any movement on your case it will be text to you. Eliminates the need to drive yourself crazy.

No one knows but with the fluctuation of immigration now there can be a whole host of reasons. Just keep in mind that you must have patience to survive.
