Sorry I am not buying it at all. Do you know why I don't buy it? I worked and lived there for 2 years, I made myself well aware of the history of the country I was living in.

This woman went through a Civil War, Soviet Invasion, More Civil War, US Invasion/Occupation, More Civil War. So what has changed for a 106 year old woman to move halfway around the world?

I understand why there are refugees from Afghanistan. But what made a 106 year old to up an move?

She was born in 1911. You really trying to say nothing changed there?  You actually listed a lot of what changed, although you didn't specifically mention the Taliban by name. Perhaps you're asking why she moved now and not earlier?

It's very possible in this case (at 100+ years old), the decision was not about her moving, rather it was about not leaving her behind. I have a hard time imagining someone that age made the decision to cross a continent for themselves.

I did say stuff has changed in the past, and a lot has changed in that time frame. But she has survived it all in her country only to emigrate last year. I did not mention the Taliban or Daesh by name because that is part of the whole "More Civil War"  part of what I said. Unlike most people I understand more of what's going on the ground there than most people, and there is far more going on than just the Taliban or Daesh.

I know it's more than likely not her decision to go there so now it's not her decision on going back either. Why should Sweden have to waste their resources on a woman who is not a citizen and never has been one?

I think they will be spending resources either way. The article says she has 3 appeals, each of which can take "a long time".

My feeling is she's 106. I think they could find someone else to exercise their principles over.
