When do you get an extension Letter?

Good day, all. I have a question. My husband and I just returned on our I -751. His green card expires in October. When do you get an extension letter , because his job needs it? Thank you for your insight.

When the I-751 is accepted by USCIS, they will send back the extension letter.

 

The extension letter isn't needed until his card expires, so you should have it by then if you already filed.
