You can still AOS upon being admitted as a parolee the same as before. There's no changes to this aspect.

Thank you....."as a parolee"...being the key phrase....:D

There were a handful of exceptions to the rule above - H-1B, H-4, L-1, L-2, K-3, and V visa holders. These people must now wait for AP to be approved before leaving the US.

This is where the problem lays. As a former L-1 visa holder with responsibility for global support, restricting travel for 90-120 days would have affected my role to support as and when my company needed me to.

When i I traveled to Ecuador recently, even though I had my L-1 and AP, immigration decided to Parole me into the US even though I asked them to admit me by using my L-1.

True, but now those covered by this are in the same boat as anybody else (who may also have obligations abroad). I'm not saying I like it (AP in general needs work and to be much faster to obtain), but it is fair at least.

He is trying to keep as many immigrants out of this country as possible, hoping people will not find out about new laws and violate which creates a money making oppertunity for american lawyers and filings of paperwork fees for GOV.

1.  He's trying to keep ILLEGAL immigrants out of the country..

On what do you base the rest of your opinion.

By the way, this isn't a "new law"......

Really?...
What would you call the immigration ban of 6 countries?

Thanks for this warning

I actually never knew that some visa holders were allowed to travel before their AP was aproved?

But I am confused/concerned by this part here :

>>Of particular concern, under this new USCIS policy, USCIS will deny an advance parole application due to abandonment even when the advance parole applicant travels using a currently valid advance parole.<<

Would this mean that visa holders cannot travel even once their AP has been approved???

From what I can understand this is only if you have a pending i-131. So once you receive your AP you don't have a pending i-131 anymore, so there's no pending application to abandon. As an example, say your AOS takes longer than a year so you need to renew your EAD and/or AP, seems like you abandon your renewal if you travel and try to use your old (but still "valid") AP. You basically need to wait for your renewal AP before travelling again.

K-1: 12-22-2015 - 09-07-2016

AP: 12-20-2016 - 04-07-2017

EAD: 01-18-2017 - 05-30-2017

AOS: 12-20-2016 - 07-26-2017

ROC: 04-22-2019 - 04-22-2020
Naturalization: 05-01-2020 - 03-16-2021

U.S. passport: 03-30-2021 - 05-08-2021

That was not trying to keep immigrants out.  He was temporarily halting entry until adequate inspection measures were ensured.

Only applies to H and L.

K3 is effectively dead and V is a decades old thing.

Hardly any H or L on here so not sure why most people care.

My understanding was that is you had not used any benefits from adjusting status then you could still travel, from a practical perspective those needing to travle on business can expedite.

"Ban- to prohibit especially by legal means "

I understand you have your own opinions but its literally a ban, temporary or not.
With the original order, NO ONE was able to get into the country if they were immigrating from 1 of 7 countries.
Its pretty black and white.

-Lets also add that Trumps immigration proposal prioritizes those who speak English and have "skills" over family while simultaneously reducing the number of visas granted.
-He also just pardoned a police sheriff that  was in jail for violating the constitutional rights of Hispanics.

And you say that Trump is strictly trying to curb Illegal immigration... Smells like bull poo.

Or you could just deflect.
Always a valid option when presented with logic that contradicts your opinion.
