Path after NOA2 - NVC/MNL#

Lots and lots of threads here but just need some clarification.  It is my understanding that the very first thing is to wait for the MNL# from the NVC.  (Call them to find out)  And until that happens you cannot move forward and it's still a waiting game.  What about filling out the DS-160?  Thanks!

You still need the MNL# no matter what.

You can fill out the DS-160 anytime you want, but don't submit it until the embassy wants you to do so, or whatever the "rules" are in the Phillippines.

Just remember that the DS-160 is there for only 30 days, so you have to log in and submit it sometime during those 30 days. Or else you just have to fill in a new one, or download it to your computer, it can be uploaded and submitted later on.

No benefit in trying to complete the DS160 now. Relax. Once you have called and gotten your MNL# then it's time to rock and roll on everything your responsible for. You gain nothing in starting the DS160 now. 30 minutes tops to complete.

As everyone has said - you need the MNL#.    You can call to get the MNL#, email .. or wait for the letter.
