Hi Everybody, my I-130 got finally approved this weekend and I was ready to mail I-485 package but realised they updated the form last month. Can you please advise where can I find a filled in sample of the new form?

Thank you in advance.

AOS/EAD/AP Mailed today! Fingers crossed my EAD gets approved quicker as I am well and truly ready to go back to work

I think this is pretty much what most of people here are looking foward...EAD is taking anywhere from 90 to 120 days based on the VJ TimeLine. A good way to track is to follow previous fillers (July, June etc) and see where they are as far as receiving EAD.

Good Luck.

Hello guys! I got married Friday September 8th, I went to the clerk already, so I have my marriage certificate in hand already. I am hoping I can send my packet tomorrow (I had already filled most of the paperwork last month). Wishing us all a speedy process hehe!

If filling EAD and AP concurrently, do I need more passport photos and 3 copies of most documents, or will they just take the whole packet together?

Yeah, two passport photos for each application. So six in total.

Which question are you specifically referring to? (Part #, question #)

Eveb though the example forms guide is a bit outdated it still contains relevant example information.

(c)(33) Requesting consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA);

(c)(35) A beneficiary of an approved employment-based immigrant petition and you are facing compelling circumstances; or

(c)(36) A spouse or unmarried dependent child of a beneficiary of an employment-based immigrant petition who is facing compelling circumstances.

There is no biometric services fee for any other eligibility category.

Some individuals may be exempt from paying fees. See the form instructions for more information.

You seem to have a lot of things included that aren't necessary if you are adjusting from a K1 visa - for example you only need the NOA2 from your i-129F (797) - you appear to have four pieces of evidence for this?   (and police clearance etc is only required if you have a criminal record at this stage. You don't need to include it again.  Also there is some degree of debate about whether to include wedding photos - despite some chatter about RFEs for this I can't find any evidence of anyone getting an RFE for this kind of evidence prior to interview - but I understand the reasons for including them)

Also - for your i765 - in the USCIS guidelines it says that you don't need to include further copies of that evidence (2,3,4,5) if submitting it with your i485.  AND you'll be pleased to know you don't need to pay the fee for the i765 if submitting it with the i485.

Your TOTAL cost is $1225.00

I sent all my paperwork today by priority mail! It should get there by Thursday. I hope I got all the boxes check properly and signed haha!  I reviewed my paperwork 8-10 times, but I am freaking out a little.

What should I do now? Obviously open a bank account. I have seen some people applying for SSN, but I am an hold j1 visa holder and I still have that SSN from 3 years. Do I need to go back in to request a new one, or a change in the "condition" ?

I also have not applied for a name change, in Nevada you need to apply for it otherwise it remains unchanged. If I do it now, what are the difficulties toward my petition, as I already submitted? I am not in a rush, so I could wait. What is best to do?
